Nothing
is
impossible
for
filmmaker
Ram
Gopal
Varma,
whose
film
Not
A
Love
Story
hits
the
theatre
today.
Apart
from
shooting
the
film
in
a
digital
camera
to
cut
down
the
budget
of
the
film,
the
filmmaker
has
also
shot
a
few
part
of
the
film
on
high-end
mobile
phones.
There
is
a
scene
in
Not
A
Love
Story
wherein
Mahie
Gill
is
seen
in
a
mall
buying
polythene
bags
and
big
kitchen
knife,
so
that
they
can
chop
off
the
dead
body.
The
digital
camera
were
not
allowed
in
the
Mall
premises,
on
the
suggestion
of
the
Cinematographer
Zaryan
Patel,
the
cameraman
shot
the
sequence
with
an
iPhone4.
Armed
with
the
iPhone4,
the
cameraman
shot
Mahie
inside
HyperCity.
The
shot
was
done
in
15
minutes.
Later
when
Ramu
saw
the
footage,
the
filmmaker
was
more
than
impressed.
RGV
felt
as
if
the
footage
had
been
shot
in
CCTV
cameras
and
thus
decided
to
treat
the
scene
similarly
in
the
film.
The
footage
was
then
edited
to
make
a
10
second
scene
in
Not
A
Love
Story.
Mahie
confirms
Mid
Day,
"The
whole
film
is
shot
in
guerrilla
style.
However,
for
this
particular
scene,
we
were
a
bit
scared
of
getting
caught.
Thankfully,
it
went
smoothly
and
the
result
is
looking,
good
too."
