Filmmaker
Ram
Gopal
Varma
has
come
up
with
a
crime
thriller
titled
Not
A
Love
Story,
based
on
Neeraj
Grover
murder
case.
The
incident
shocked
the
whole
nation
a
few
years
ago.
Now,
the
filmmaker
is
keeping
his
fingers
crossed,
as
he
is
not
sure
how
the
audience
will
react
to
the
cinematic
version
of
the
incident.
“I
have
no
idea
how
the
film
will
be
accepted
by
the
audience.
My
job
is
to
make
the
film
with
the
best
of
my
ability
and
then
it
is
up
to
the
audience
to
decide," RGV
told
PTI
after
launching
a
promotional
song
of
the
film.
“Crime
existed
ever
since
man
was
born
that
is
60,000
years
back
and
films
are
invented
100
years
back.
I
don't
believe
films
can
inspire
anybody,"
he
added.
RGV
said
during
the
launch
of
the
remix
version
of
Rangeela
title
track
that
the
song
talks
about
the
feelings
of
somebody
wanting
to
become
famous.
“I
have
used
the
song
''Rangeela
Re'' as
it
represents
spirit,
joy,
happiness
and
attitude.
The
song
is
very
thematic
to
the
film.
In
the
film
(Not
A
Love
Story),
the
girl
comes
to
Mumbai
to
become
famous
as
an
actress
but
how
unfortunately
becomes
famous
as
a
murderess,"
he
said,
adding,
“If
the
unfortunate
incident
had
not
taken
place,
her
life
would
have
been
different.
The
Rangeela
song
exactly
talks
about
those
feelings
of
somebody
wanting
to
be
famous.
Hence,
I
thought
it
would
be
a
good
idea
to
use
the
song
in
the
background
score
of
the
film."
Not
A
Love
Story
is
said
to
be
inspired
by
Neeraj
Grover
murder
case.
Grover
was
allegedly
killed
by
naval
officer
Emile
Jerome
Matthew,
fiance
of
actress
Maria
Susairaj.
Ths
film
features
Mahie
Gill,
Deepak
Dobriyal
and
Ajay
Gehi
in
lead
roles.
