Ready pays tribute to Raj, Dilip, Dharam
Director Anees Bazmee and actor Salman Khan during the music launch of their film Ready, told the reporters that their film is a tribute to the legendary actors, Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar and Dharmendra.

In the song 'Character Dheela', Salman and Zarine Khan are seen paying tribute to these veterans of Hindi Cinema. Both of them play the popular pair of these actors from different movies. Salman told, “We often use this word ''character dheela hai'' in a negative way. We were trying to make it sound good. Eventually the song should look good and presentable. Personally, my character is less ''dheela'' as you can see my average is very less...and I am 46-year-old (hinting of being still unmarried)".

In one sequence of the song, Salman and Zarine are seen playing Saleem and Anarkali from Mughal-e-Azam. In another they portray the black and white era playing Raj Kapoor and Nargis. They have also tried to recreate the Sholay magic by portraying, Viru and Basanti pair in the song.

Salman added, "It is our way of paying tribute to Raj Saheb, Dilip Saheb and Dharamji. We are not one per cent close to their performances," Salman said. The song has been choreographed by Mudassar Khan. The film is a romantic comedy, starring Salman and Asin and is all set to release on June 3.
