Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor, who will be seen portraying a negative character in his upcoming film Agneepath directed by Karan Malhotra says that he was initially reluctant to do the role. It required a lot of convincing on the part of director Karan Malhotra to get Rishi Kapoor to do the film.
Rishi Kapoor, who will be seen wearing a pajama-kurta with kajal in his eyes was initially of the opinion that a negative role will not suit his personality. Speaking to a leading news agency, Rishi Kapoor said, “Initially when Karan Malhotra approached me for the film...I did not see any place for me in the movie. I told him he must be joking and that if the movie does not work then I might be the only reason for it."
Karan Johar, while speaking about Rishi Kapoor's role in the film said that Rishi Kapoor was very anxious about his role in Agneepath as he had never done a completely negative character in his Bollywood career. Agneepath, starring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles is expected to release on January 13 2012.
