After
superstar
Shahrukh
Khan,
it
is
the
turn
of
actor
Ranbir
Kapoor.
Yes!
The
Bollywood
star,
who
is
all
set
to
release
his
upcoming
movie
Rockstar
on
November
11,
is
trying
out
all
possible
tricks
to
promote
his
much-awaited
film.
The
latest
effort
in
that
direction
is
that
Ranbir
is
performing
with
music
director
AR
Rahman
in
a
live
concert
the
next
week
at
a
suburban
college
in
Mumbai.
Interestingly,
this
is
going
to
be
Ranbir
Kapoor's
maiden
stage
performance
in
a
live
concert,
which
will
be
held
on
November
1
at
Bhavan's
College
ground
in
suburban
Andheri
here.
"Ranbir
has
not
performed
live
to
an
audience
and
this
makes
the
concert
special.
Rahman's
music
is
brilliant
and
has
been
liked
by
everyone.
So
we
thought
of
doing
a
concert," producer
Dhillin
Mehta
told
the
PTI.
Ranbir
Kapoor's
character
in
the
movie
Rockstar
is
modelled
on
the
rock
legend
Jim
Morrison
of
'The
Doors'.
Talking
to
PTI,
director
Imtiaz
Ali
says,
"Since
the
film
is
a
story
of
a
performer
having
a
live
concert
was
always
on
agenda...it
was
required.
At
the
concert
songs
from
the
film
will
be
performed
though
we
not
exactly
replicate
the
songs
we
will
just
play
it
live."
However,
the
film
Rockstar
introduces
newcomer
Nargis
Fakhri.
Besides
Ranbir
and
Rahman,
actress
Nargis,
singer
Mohit
Chauhan,
director
Imtiaz
Ali,
music
arranger
Ranjit
Barot
and
leading
percussionist
Sivamani
will
also
be
the
part
of
the
live
concert.
