Actor Salman Khan, who had left for the United States on Monday night, has undergone a surgery on Wednesday to treat a nerve condition that was causing extreme pain in his face. Latest reports suggest that the Bollywood star is doing fine and taking rest after the nerve operation at a hospital in the US.

Sources claim that doctors have suggested Salman Khan complete rest after the surgery. "The surgery took place late last night and Salman is fine now. He has just been advised complete bed rest for a few days after which he can start working," the Mid Day quotes a source close to the actor as saying.

However, Salman Khan has been suffering from trigeminal neuralgia and aneurysm for long time. But the actor was left with no option rather flying to the US on Aug 29 for treatment after the pain became unbearable. He is expected to start the shoot of his next venture Ek Tha Tiger in London once he returnes.
