Shahrukh Khan apologises for using the word 'dumb'

Actor Shahrukh Khan was forced to offer apology after a girl named Jayashree took objection to his use of the word 'dumb'. The Bollywood superstar was addressing a promotional event after launching the music of Tamil version of his latest film Ra.One in Chennai, when the incident happened.

Talking to the audience, Shahrukh Khan said that he was very keen to act in Tamil films and he would only play a 'dumb' character because he did not know the language and it would be difficult for him to deliver dialogues with perfection. But the use of the word 'dumb' landed him in trouble

Audience Jayashree made a sharp reaction to Shahrukh Khan's comment. She said that he should avoid using the word 'dumb'. So the King Khan immediately offered his apology and asked her for the right word to refer the people with speech impairment for which she suggested him to use the word 'mute'.
