Shahrukh Khan pays duty of 1.5 lac for excess baggage

recently
halted
and
interrogated
by
custom
authorities
at
Chhatrapati
Shivaji
International
Airport
while
returning
from
London
on
Thursday.
Shahrukh
was
on
a
family
holiday
to
Holland
and
London.
On
his
way
back
home,
Shahrukh
was
carrying
20
bags.
Therefore,
the
custom
officials
at
airport
interrogated
him,
while
his
family
was
allowed
to
go.
The
interrogation
was
conducted
by
a
team
of
deputy
collector,
Customs,
Sameer
Wankhede.
Shahrukh
had
to
pay
a
duty
of
approximately
Rs
1.5
lakh.

confirms

"Yes,
he
was
interrogated
but
it
is
a
routine
thing.
Whenever
people
bring
stuff
they
have
to
pay
duty
on
it.
It
was
nearly
R
1.5
lakh
and
the
interrogation
took
time
because
he
was
carrying
a
lot
of
stuff."
Eyewitness
from
the
airport
reported
that
Khan
was
treated
equally
as
any
other
passenger.
The
actor
was
not
even
allowed
to
take
a
phone
call.
