More
on
sequels…
and
this
one's
a
shocking
development!
News
that
Samir
Karnik
won't
be
directing
the
sequel
to
the
successful
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
has
spread
like
wildfire
across
tinsel
town.
So
much
so
that
Karnik
was
missing
from
the
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
celebrations,
which
were
held
at
a
suburban
hotel
last
week.

However,
Karnik
rubbishes
the
rumours,
"Absolutely
baseless
talk!
I
am
very
much
part
of
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
sequel," he
clarifies.
So
why
did
he
skip
the
success
party
hosted
in
Mumbai
last
week?
"I
had
a
commitment
to
fulfill
in
Delhi
on
that
particular
day.
I
couldn't
avoid
it.
That's
the
reason
why
I
wasn't
present
at
the
celebrations,"
he
reasons.
Is
everything
hunky-dory
between
the
Deols
and
him?
"Of
course,
we
continue
to
share
fabulous
relations.
In
fact,
I
just
spoke
to
Bobby
a
few
minutes
ago,"
he
says.
So
what's
the
status
of
the
sequel?
"We
are
working
on
its
story.
The
key
to
success
is
the
right
script,
since
the
expectations
from
the
sequel
will
be
colossal.
We
don't
want
people
to
turn
around
and
say
that
they
felt
that
the
second
half
was
better
than
the
first
or
the
first
half
was
more
entertaining.
It
ought
to
be
a
flawless
film
this
time," Karnik
adds.
