Yash Chopra's sudden death came as a shock to many. His last film as a director Jab Tak Hai Jaan will release on Diwali along with Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardar. But Yash Chopra's well-wishers want SOS to be postponed as a mark of respect to the legendary filmmaker.
However, Vikram Malhotra of Viacom18 Motion Pictures (Viacom 18 has co-produced SOS) says that it is not possible. He told a leading daily, "To ensure the fulfilment of our commitment to all stakeholders involved in Son Of Sardar, we will go ahead with the release of the film as originally planned on November 13, 2012. Film production and release is a complex process and release dates are determined months in advance, nearly a year in the case of SOS. In the overall interest of the venture and everyone concerned, it is imperative that we do not deviate from our commitments."
A source says, "If SOS were to get pushed, there will be an appeal asking Aamir Khan to push Talaash from November 30; Akshay Kumar to postpone Khiladi 786 from December 7 and Salman Khan to change Dabangg-2 from its Christmas date, to give SOS a clear 15-day window at the Box Office.''
So, what do you think, should Ajay Devgn postpone the release of Son Of Sardar for Yash Chopra's Jab Tak Hai Jaan?
