Big B leaves media guessing on Beti B's name

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan in a recent event, preferred to keep media guessing on the name of the newest entrant to his family, who has been nicknamed as Beti B.

When senior Bachchan was asked if Beti B was named Aaradhya, he said, "We will talk about it sometime later....not now." He was speaking at his second media appearance, i.e., Vidhu Vinod Chopra festival, post his abdominal surgery on February 11.

Ever since Beti B has arrived, she has been in headlines for reasons ranging from simply being born into Bachchan's family to speculation around what would be her name.

Gossip mills were abuzz that star couple Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's daughter was finally named, 'Aaradhya' last month. But since then the Bachchan family has neither confirmed nor denied about the same.

Various names like Aaliya, Abhilasha cropped up for Beti B. Abhishek had earlier denied it saying that his daughter was not named as Aaliya. Also, there were reports that picture and name of Beti B would be revealed at the American Talk Show host Oprah Winfrey's show. But again that was denied by the Bachchan family.

Both Big B and son Abhishek had earlier said that there would be no naming ceremony for the little angel as the family does not believe in it. Bachchans have been fiercely protective of the latest member of the family ever since Aishwarya gave birth to the daughter on November 16, last year.

When asked about his health post surgery, Bachchan said, "I am fine now..much better."
