Megastar
Amitabh
Bachchan,
who
is
known
for
his
deep
baritone
voice,
has
lent
his
voice
and
face
to
the
iconic
character
of
Bheeshma
Pitamah
in
an
upcoming
animation
film
Mahabharat,
which
is
produced
by
Jayantilal
Gada
of
PEN
India.
But
the
69-year-old
star
has
done
the
recording
free
of
cost.
Talking
to
PTI,
producer
Jayantilal
Gada
said,
"Amitabh
Bachchan
has
lent
his
voice
to
the
role
of
Bheeshma
Pitamah
in
our
animated
Mahabharat.
He
finished
the
entire
recording
in
one
hour,
which
was
very
shocking
for
us.
He
has
such
a
command
over
the
language
that
he
even
corrected
minor
grammatical
mistakes
in
the
dialogues."
Jayantilal
Gada
can't
stop
Amitabh
Bachchan's
simplicity
and
generous
nature.
The
producer
added,
"He
did
not
charge
us
for
his
work.
Our
entire
team
is
grateful
to
him.
We
could
not
have
done
the
film
without
him
as
we
can't
imagine
any
other
voice
for
the
role
of
Bheeshma
Pitamah.”
However,
the
movie
Mahabharat
is
a
50-crore
project,
which
is
produced
by
PEN
India.
The
characters
from
the
epic
will
have
voices
and
looks
of
15
Bollywood
stars.
Sunny
Deol
has
recorded
for
the
role
of
Bheem.
The
other
Bollywood
names
involved
with
the
film
are
still
under
wraps.
The
film
is
slated
for
an
October
release.
