Amitabh, Salman in legal trouble for 'dirty dancing'

Megastars Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have been entrapped in legal hassle over alleged "uncensored and indecent" dance programmes during the IPL-V inaugural show in Chennai in April.

Madurai Bench of Madras High Court ordered issue of notices to the stars on a petition seeking registration of a criminal case against them. According to the petitioner, the dance and performances of the celebrities were "obscene and lascivious, appealing to the prurient interest". The performance, video clippings and photographs of such dances and "uncensored" telecast allegedly had distracted students who were taking examinations at that time.

The petition also included the names of Indian Premier League chairman Rajeev Shukla, American pop star Katy Perry, Australian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings member Douglas Bolinger and a Sony Set Max TV official.
