Mumbai:
Theatre
personality
Vikram
Kapadia,
who
is
currently
working
in
filmmaker
Vikram
Bhatt's
TV
production
Bisaat
Rishton
Ka
(earlier
titled
Kurukshetra),
thinks
that
Bollywood
is
"like
a
dead
pitch
-
the
ball
doesn't
come
up
to
the
bat".
During
an
interview
with
Bollywood
Life,
Kapadia
said
that
Amitabh
Bachchan
was
great
in
his
heydays,
but
now,
he
is
a
victim
of
his
own
mannerisms.
"He
ends
up
imitating
himself.
He
had
some
great
moments
in
his
youth.
He
could've
changed
the
industry
but
he
was
not
interested.
He
stuck
to
only
mainstream.
He
needs
to
do
a
Hrishikesh
Mukherjee
kind
of
film
to
get
back
in
the
groove.
Of
course,
he
is
an
amazing
talent
and
he
is
one
of
the
best
we
have," Kapadia
told
the
website.
That's
not
the
end
of
it
as
Vikram
took
a
dig
at
the
Yash
Raj
Films
as
well.
He
said
that
YRF
does
not
respect
its
actors.
According
to
Kapadia,
Yash
Chopra
and
his
company
got
Shahrukh
Khan
when
he
was
cheap.
"Yeah,
but
they
got
him
when
he
was
cheap,"
Vikram
said.
