Mumbai:
It
is
raining
offers
for
actress
Anushka
Sharma,
who
has
been
flooded
with
several
films
in
Bollywood.
The
Ladies
Vs
Ricky
Bahl
star,
who
is
currently
working
with
Shahrukh
Khan
in
Yash
Chopra's
untitled
movie,
has
recently
bagged
Raju
Hirani's
Peekay.
Now,
she
is
likely
to
feature
in
Anurag
Kashyap's
Bombay
Velvet,
which
stars
Ranbir
Kapoor
in
the
male
lead.
Bombay
Velvet
is
a
drama
film
based
on
'Mumbai
Fables',
which
is
a
semi-fictional
study
of
Bombay
in
1960s
by
eminent
historian
and
Princeton
University's
history
professor
Gyan
Prakash.
It
is
reported
that
Ranbir
Kapoor
has
recommended
Anushka
Sharma's
name
for
the
female
lead
in
the
movie
and
makers
of
the
film
are
currently
in
talks
with
the
actress
for
the
role.
But
Anushka
Sharma
is
keeping
mum
on
the
issue.
The
Bollywood
actress
has
neither
confirmed
nor
denied
the
news.
Talking
to
PTI,
Anushka
said,
"I
can't
talk
about
things
till
it
is
confirmed.
The
announcement
will
come
at
the
right
time." The
actress
added,
"I
am
looking
to
work
with
Anurag
Kashyap."
The
bubbly
actress
will
also
be
seen
alongside
Imran
Khan
in
director
Vishal
Bharadwaj's
upcoming
movie
Matru
Ki
Bijlee
Ka
Mandola.
Talking
about
the
film,
Anushka
Sharma
said,
"We
have
finished
shooting
for
the
film.
I
am
happy
to
work
with
Vishal
and
Imran.
The
best
part
about
Vishal's
film
is
the
characters
are
so
well
written.
It
is
an
entertaining
film."
However,
Anushka's
Matru
Ki
Bijlee
Ka
Mandola
is
likely
to
release
in
January
in
2013.
Currently,
she
is
shooting
for
Yash
Chopra's
upcoming
romantic
drama,
which
is
yet
to
be
titled.
After
completing
it,
she
is
expected
to
take
up
the
filming
for
Aamir
Khan-Raju
Hirani's
next
combo
movie
Peekay.
