Actress Kareena Kapoor unveiled her grandfather Raj Kapoor's brass statue in Mumbai. Inspired by Hollywood's Walk of Fame, UTV Stars, a Bollywood channel has introduced its own Walk of Stars and Kapoors were the first family of Bollywood to be felicitated in it.

During the launch of the Raj's brass statute, Kareena Kapoor posed to the photographs. She told PTI, "I am falling short of words. What more would I want than sitting beside my grandfather. Whatever I am today is all because of them. We Kapoors have acting in our veins and blood."

However, Walk of Stars will have renowned celebrities' handprints on a customised slab, and specially designed brass statues of iconic legendary actors. The customised slabs bearing the handprints will be dedicated to the living legends of Indian cinema and the slabs with signatures will be dedicated to the legends who have passed away. The Walk of Stars spreads on two kilometre stretch at the Bandra Bandstand promenade in suburban Mumbai.
