Bollywood actress Laila Khan, who has been missing for the past 11 months, was reportedly murdered, as claimed by the accused Parvez Tak. Tak also told the Jammu and Kashmir Police that Laila Khan and her relatives' dead bodies were buried around her farm house in Untdari behind Ghatan Devi Temple in Igatpuri.
A team of Mumbai Police crime branch and ATS, have reportedly unearthed the human remains of the actress and her relatives, while conducting search operations in Igatpuri. Reports say, the remains will now be sent for analysis to ascertain identity.
Laila Khan is a Pakistan born actress, best known for her role opposite Rajesh Khanna in the 2008 Bollywood movie Wafa: A Deadly Love Story. She had gone missing along with her mother Saleena Patel, sister Azmina, brother and a cousin from Mumbai last year. The search for her had exposed her dubious links with the underworld. During the interrogations, Tak had revealed that the motive for the murder was allegedly the property owned by Laila and her mother.
The search operations are still on and it is yet to be ascertained whether the body parts are of Laila's or any of her family members'.
