After tremendous response by media for Om Puri's song 'Bharat Maa ki Jai' for film Raambhajjan Zindabaad, producer Khalid Kidwai thought to have a qawwali for his film by none other than Azmat Hussain, the winner of last year Zee TV's singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs. The Song was recorded on 3rd July 2012 at Kailasha Studio, Seven Bunglows, Andheri.
With the support of Zee TV, Khalid Kidwai had recently held the recording of this melodious song and Azmat Hussain rendered his voice for it. With this, Azmat has become the first child singer to record a qawwali for any Bollywood film. This song will be shot at a famous Dargah Dewa Sharif in Barabanki, Lucknow (UP) and dedicated to physically challenged children.
Producer Khalid, director Ranjeet Guptaa and music director Ripul Sharma were astonished by performance of little Azmat, who was able to remember song lines by just hearing once. Azmat Hussain's singing skills were praised by every Bollywood celebrities and this is first time when Azmat Hussain has rendered a song for any Bollywood film, which is not a simple song but a social sufiyana song.
However, Raambhajjan Zindabaad is being produced by Khalid Kidwai, Chetan Parikh, Madhav Chitale under the banner of Atlantic Adventure Ltd and directed by Ranjeet Guptaa. Vishal Vijay Kumar has written the lyrics for the film, which has Ripul Sharma's music, Chandan Kowli's cinematography and Dilip Deo's editing. The movie stars Om Puri, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Abhay Joshi, Seema Azmi (Chak De India fame), Jagdeep, Zakir Hussain and Ram Sethi in the star cast.
