Mithun
Chakraborty
was
yesterday
felicitated
with
a
lifetime
achievement
award
by
a
renowned
city-based
business
house
in
Kolkata.
The
award
-
comprising
a
memento,
citation
and
Rs
five
lakh
-
was
presented
to
the
actor
by
West
Bengal
Governor
MK
Narayanan.
Accepting
the
award,
Mithun
said
he
espoused
Swami
Vivekananda's
teachings
and
believed
"in
winning
by
heart
and
not
solely
by
mind".
Mithun
bagged
the
national
award
thrice
-
for
Mrigaya
(1976),
Tahader
Katha
(1996)
and
Swami
Vivekananda
(1998).
As
per
PTI,
congratulating
the
Disco
Dancer,
Governor
Narayanan
said
he
was
happy
that
the
business
house,
PC
Chandra
Group,
decided
to
accord
this
recognition
to
the
actor.
The
group
has
also
felicitated
stalwarts
like
the
late
Ustad
Bismillah
Khan,
Sunil
Gavaskar
and
PT
Usha
in
the
past.
