Bollywood
actress
Mamata
Patel,
who
has
played
a
small
role
in
critically
acclaimed
movie
Paan
Singh
Tomar,
has
registered
a
complaint
against
an
unidentified
person.
She
has
said
that
the
man
allegedly
threatened
her
over
phone
saying
she
would
face
consequences
if
she
continued
to
talk
against
acclaimed
actor
Irrfan
Khan.
Talking
to
PTI,
Arun
Bhagt,
Senior
Inspector
at
Juhu
police
station,
said,
"A
Non
Cognisable
offence
has
been
registered
against
an
unidentified
person
for
making
a
threatening
call
to
actress
Mamata
Patel.
She
received
the
call
yesterday
when
she
was
at
her
home
in
suburban
Bhayandar."
Bhagt
said
that
subsequently
Mamata
Patel
approached
the
police
station
informing
about
the
call
and
claimed
that
the
caller
told
her
not
to
talk
anything
bad
about
Irrfan.
"The
actress
claimed
the
caller
threatened
her
that
if
she
continued
to
talk
bad
about
Irfan,
she
would
face
consequences," PTI
quotes
an
officer
at
the
police
station
as
saying.
However,
sources
claim
that
Mamata
Patel
was
upset
with
the
small
role
that
she
had
got
in
the
movie.
She
was
blaming
hero
Irrfan
Khan
and
director
Tigmanshu
Dhulia
saying
that
they
had
made
false
promises
of
a
good
role
for
her
in
the
movie
Paan
Singh
Tomar.
