Priyanka Chopra to play Mary Kom in Bhansali's film

Mumbai:Sanjay Leela Bhansali has signed Bollywood hottie Priyanka Chopra to play Mary Kom in his next movie. Priyanka Chopra has done some good action films in the past and that is the reason why Bhansali chose her.

A source confered the news to a daily and said that Priyanka Chopra said yes to the project on Sunday. However, the meeting didn't happen in person, the work on her character will begin shortly. The source also said that Priyanka has done action films in the past and she can pull off the role.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali specially met Mary Kom some days back to discuss the film based on her life. The Source further added,"Since Mary Kom is a boxer, her body and skin type is different. Even her accent is not what you hear here. Priyanka will undergo some physical training and workshops to help her understand the character better. Of course, at some point, there will be some meetings between Mary Kom and Priyanka too."
