Priyanka Chopra is very close to my heart says Shahrukh Khan

Mumbai: Who could forget the rumours of Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra's affair! It is said that the two came really close on the sets of Don. It is said that when Shahrukh's wife Gauri Khan came to know about this affair, she boycotted Priyanka from all functions and social gatherings. However, both Shahrukh and Priyanka never accepted this and chose to remain silent. But now Shahrukh Khan has openly revealed that Priyanka Chopra is very special for him.

Talking to CNN-IBN, SRK said, "(I) Feel extremely sorry, for she (Priyanka) wasn't shown the respect I show her, or other women. Priyanka Chopra is one of the closest friends that I have, she is very close to my heart, and always will be."

Interestingly, it was Shahrukh Khan's closet friend Karan Johar who slammed Priyanka Chopra on micro blogging site Twitter. But even Karan later confessed that it was not the right thing to do. However, both Karan and Priyanka patched up later on Karan's birthday.

Hmmm... it seems that come what may Shahrukh will not give up his friendship with Piggy Chops!
