Mumbai:
Superstar
Rajesh
Khanna's
death
is
considered
as
a
big
loss
to
the
Hindi
film
industry.
While
many
wept
and
expressed
their
grief
over
Kaka's
sudden
death,
media
persona
Press
Council
Chief
Markandey
Katju
made
a
few
bitter
comments
over
Khanna,
that
was
too
rude
to
digest.
When
Kaka
died,
media
channels
made
extensive
coverage
on
the
superstar's
illness
and
demise.
Last
month,
we
saw
how
every
news
channel,
portal
and
print
media
had
covered
every
single
news
related
to
Khanna's
life
and
death.
This
was
not
well
accepted
by
the
chairman
of
Press
Council
of
India.
Katju
had
slammed
the
media
for
ignoring
the
important
national
news
and
focussing
on
filmstars
and
their
deaths.
Katju
had
said,
"How
does
it
matter
if
Rajesh
Khanna
is
dead
or
alive." This
was
a
really
harsh
statement
against
someone,
who
had
earned
love
and
fame
across
the
globe.
Katju's
statement
did
not
go
well
with
Kaka's
rumoured
girlfriend
Anita
Advani.
She
told
a
leading
daily,
"To
say
'how
does
it
matter
if
Rajesh
Khanna
is
dead
or
alive',
after
he
has
passed
away,
is
not
in
good
taste.
It
has
hurt
me
a
lot,
but
more
than
that,
I
feel
Mr
Katju
owes
all
of
Kakaji's
fans
an
apology."
