Wish actor-filmmaker Rakesh Roshan on his 63rd birthday

Mumbai: Rakesh Roshan, who began his acting career with the 1970 film Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani, has acted in more than 60 films throughout the 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s. The actor turned director has turned 63 today.

During his tenure as an actor, Rakesh Roshan acted in several other films like Khel Khel Mein, Khoobsurat, Bhagwan Dada, Khoon Bhari Maang and Akele Hum Akele Tum. Though Rakesh Roshan was recognised for his acting abilities, he is more popular as a director and filmmaker.

Roshan set up his own production company Filmkraft in 1980 and their first production was Aap Ke Deewane (1980). He made his directorial debut with the film Khudgarz, released in 1987. Kishen Kanhaiya, Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and Koi Mil Gaya are few of the hit films that he directed.
