Khan,
who
was
arrested
under
the
charges
of
assaulting
man
and
released
on
bail
on
Wednesday
evening,
has
now
filed
a
counter
complaint
with
the
Mumbai
police
against
Iqbal
Sharma.
The
Bollywood
star
has
alleged
that
Mr
Sharma's
father-in-law
punched
him
first
and
the
duo
abused
the
women
who
were
accompanying
him
at
the
restaurant.
Earlier,
Iqbal
Sharma,
a
businessman
from
South
Africa,
had
filed
a
case
against
Saif
Ali
Khan
at
the
Colaba
police
station.
In
his
complaint,
Mr
Sharma
had
claimed
that
the
actor,
who
was
seated
at
the
table
next
to
Saif
and
his
group
at
Wasabi
restaurant,
assaulted
him
and
fractured
his
nose
when
he
requested
him
and
his
friends
to
reduce
their
noise.
Following
Sharma's
complaint
Yesterday,
the
Colaba
police
arrested
Saif
Ali
Khan
at
around
7:50
pm
at
his
lawyer's
office.
The
actor
arrived
at
the
Colaba
police
station
at
8
pm
accompanied
by
his
girlfriend
Kareena
Kapoor.
Around
90
minutes
later,
he
left
after
having
paid
Rs
15,000
and
being
granted
bail.
However,
Saif
Ali
Khan
has
his
version
on
the
incident.
The
actor
says
that
Iqbal
Sharma's
father-in-law
punched
him
first.
So
he
acted
in
self-defence
and
hit
him
on
the
eye.
He
adds
that
the
duo
abused
the
women
like
Kareena,
Karisma
Kapoor,
Amrita
Arora
who
were
accompanying
him
at
the
restaurant.
Saif
further
says,
“The
CCTV
footage
in
the
restaurant
will
prove
everything."
