Saif Ali Khan earned good response after playing the unconventional role of Langda Tyagi in the film Omkara. This role made a good impact on the Chhote Nawaab's Bollywood career, that fetched him the Filmmare award. But, this was a dream role of superstar Aamir Khan, that never turned true.
Omkara's director Vishal Bhardwaj informed a leading daily that it was actually Aamir Khan, who was very keen on playing the role of Langda Tyagi in Omkara. Reportedly, Bhardwaj revealed that he used to discuss about Langda Tyagi's character with Aamir Khan, that encouraged the latter to play it in the film.
But, later Bhardwaj went upto Saif Ali Khan and signed him for the role. "And I saw that hunger in Saif's eyes; he was desperate to shed that lover boy image," he said. Well, it looks like Saif shattered Aamir's dream, by snatching away the challenging role.
