tragic
incident,
a
70-year
old
pavement
dweller
was
crushed
to
death
in
Bandra
by
a
Land
Cruiser
owned
by
Salman
Khan's
brother
Sohail
Khan.
Reportedly,
Sohail
was
not
driving
the
car,
his
driver,
Dhananjaya
Pimpale
was.
The
accident
took
place
at
around
11
pm
last
night
near
St
Andrews
Church
in
Bandra.
Sohail's
driver
was
driving
the
car
towards
Sohail
Khan's
home
in
Galaxy
apartments,
when
he
hit
Chandan
Bala.
Dhananjaya
Pimpale
was
arrested
by
the
police
and
subjected
to
an
alcohol
test
which
turned
out
to
be
negative.
The
police
has
booked
Pimpale
on
charges
of
rash
driving
and
culpable
homicide
not
amounting
to
murder.
In
2002,
Salman
Khan's
Land
Cruiser
ran
over
pavement
dwellers
in
Bandra,
Mumbai,
killing
one
and
injuring
three
others.
The
actor
was
booked
for
rash
driving.
However,
Salman
Khan's
lawyer
claimed
that
the
police
bodyguard
was
driving
the
car
and
that
the
actor
was
in
the
back
seat.
