Barkha is married to actor Indraneil Sengupta, the mystery man in Vidya Balan's Kahaani. During an interview with a leading daily, Barkha said that she has been a great fanatic of Salman Khan. In fact, as a school-going kid, she was once kissed by the actor. She was so overwhelmed with the sweet kiss, that she did not even wash her face for a week then.
