Shahrukh Khan was the first choice for Ek Tha Tiger!

Mumbai: Yes, you read it right! Shahrukh Khan was the first choice to play the role of tiger in Ek Tha Tiger. Recently, the director of the film confirmed the news by saying that the producer of Ek Tha Tiger, Aditya Chopra, had approached Shahrukh Khan first for the movie.

Kabir Khan told a leading daily, "I didn't meet Shahrukh, but yes, Adi (producer Aditya Chopra) did approach him. However, the script as it is today is meant for Salman."

Talking about the rumours that Katrina Kaif recommended the name of Salman Khan for Ek Tha Tiger, Kabir Khan said, "Katrina's one of my closest friends and the only one who could play Zoya in Ek Tha Tiger, but she didn't recommend Salman. His name may have come up during discussions. He took an instant liking to me when we met years ago."
