Mumbai:
Actor
Shahid
Kapoor,
who
was
kicked
up
for
his
upcoming
movie
with
Yash
Raj
Films,
has
opted
out
of
the
project,
primarily
due
to
date
issues.
The
YRF
untitled
film,
to
be
directed
by
Maneesh
Sharma,
was
to
feature
Shahid
Kapoor
in
the
lead.
Shahid
was
signed
for
the
film
but
as
the
director
fell
ill,
the
shooting
schedule
was
pushed
ahead
and
the
actor
had
to
pull
out,
due
to
other
work
commitments.
"It
is
sad
that
Shahid
Kapoor
understandably
had
to
opt
out
of
the
film
because
of
the
delay...given
his
packed
schedule," director
Maneesh
Sharma
said
in
a
statement
here.
With
three
back-to-back
projects
in
hand,
Shahid
is
unable
to
readjust
the
dates
for
the
revised
schedule
of
the
film.
However,
YRF
is
looking
forward
to
work
with
Shahid
Kapoor
on
another
project,
being
discussed
with
him
for
next
year.
The
makers
said
they
will
announce
soon
the
shooting
schedule
of
Maneesh
Sharma's
film.
Meanwhile,
both
Maneesh
and
Jaideep
Sahani,
who
have
written
the
screenplay
along
with
Aditya
Chopra,
have
taken
a
creative
decision
to
have
lip-sync
songs,
which
were
earlier
not
part
of
the
film.
"Both
Jaideep
and
I
have
decided
to
bring
in
couple
of
lip-sync
songs
which
need
to
be
recorded
before
we
go
on
floors," Maneesh
said.
