Shahrukh Khan detained at New York airport

Superstar Shahrukh Khan was detained for two hours at the New York airport. He was there to give a lecture at the Yale University, along with Neeta Ambani.

Sources informed PTI, while everybody else were cleared by the immigration, Shahrukh was stopped for over two hours before being cleared by the immigration officials. Later, the Yale University officials had to contact the Department of Homeland Security and the Immigration and Customs Department at Washington in order to free SRK.

This wasn't the first time that SRK had faced such detention. In 2009, Shahrukh Khan was detained for questioning at a US airport, after he had landed up in the country to promote his then new film My Name Is Khan. SRK later said that he was detained because his name came up on a computer alert list.
