Sonakshi to play Mandakini in Once upon a time in Mumbaai 2

Balaji Motion Pictures has signed Sonaksi Sinha for the most talked about the role of Mandakini in the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. Reports claimed that earlier Kangana Ranaut and Kareena Kapoor were approached to do this role.

In this film, Sonakshi would be seen opposite Akshay kumar. This would be her third film with Akshay after Joker and Rowdy Rathore. In Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2, Akshay Kumar will play an underworld don Shoaib (character based on Dawood Ibrahim) and Sonakshi will be featured as Yasmin (Mandakini), an upcoming heroine, who falls in love with Shoaib.

An insider claimed that earlier Sonakshi was not sure about Playing Dawood's girlfriend because of the bold scenes. But now, the filmmakers have decided to edit the scenes and Sonakshi is happy with the new decision.

Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 would be directed by Milan Lutharia. The film also stars Imran Khan, who will be seen playing Akshay's rival.
