Sonali Bendre makes comeback with Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2

Actress Sonali Bendre will make a comeback to the silver screen in the second instalment of Milan Luthria's crime drama Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2, a sequel to the 2010 super hit film of the same name. The sequel stars Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi and Imran Khan in lead roles.

Speaking about the role, that was chalked out especially for her, Sonali Bendre confirmed, "I will be part of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2. It's a great role. With the film it feels like I'm coming home since Shobha Kapoor has been Goldie's very close family friend. Also, Ekta Kapoor is a creative genius and has an amazing story sense so I trust her judgement on this. I have worked with Milan before...so its very comfortable space." In Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, Sonali Bendre will play the role of a lady named Mumtaz.

PTI also quoted director Milan Luthria as saying, "I am thrilled to add another twist to the casting of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2. Sonali is not only gorgeous to look at but she is a terrific actress. She suits the role. My crew and I are super excited to offer her this platform."

Sonakshi will be seen in the movie opposite Akshay Kumar, who plays Shoaib, a character modelled on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. The shooting of the film is expected to begin from August.
