Aamir Beats Shahrukh In Box Office Race - Dhoom 3 Makes It To The 100-crore Club

'Who is the real King Khan' is the question that haunts Bollywood nowadays because Aamir Khan, hailed often as Mr Perfectionist, has just beaten another important heavyweight, Shahrukh Khan with his latest flick Dhoom 3, in terms of box office collection.

Within three days of its release, Dhoom 3 has collected a whopping Rs 107.61 crore and thus entered the prestigious 100-crore club. Before Dhoom 3. It was Shahrukh's Chennai Express was the fastest film that made it to the 100-crore club within four days and that record seemed unbeatable!

The Tamil and Telugu versions of Dhoom 3 helped it to be the fastest film to enter in the 100-crore club and trade analysts opine that the film may fetch up almost Rs 250 crore by the the end of this week. With the pace Dhoom 3 is travelling, it is almost sure that the film will break all collection records made by Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3. YRF released Dhoom 3 on December 20 with an unimaginable hype.

Dhoom 3 was released in almost 4000 screen all over India and earned Rs 36.22 crore on the first day itself. It made Rs 33.36 crore on its second day and fetched Rs 38.09 crore on Sunday. Even though the film was deep fried by most critics and generated a mixed reaction, it somehow managed to attract the masses.

The film is the third addition to the Dhoom franchise and is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who was the writer for the first two Dhoom films.
