Abhay Deol In Remake Of Baaton Baaton Mein

Abhay deol has received tremendous appreciation for his previous performances, and now the actor is all set to star in the remake of Baaton Baaton Mein. Although not confirmed but Abhay is in talks to play the lead in the remake of Basu Chatterjee's classic film.

Baaton Baaton mein is a 1979 movie that starred Amol Palekar and Tina Munim which was directed by Basu Chatterjee will now be remade and directed by Shivum Nair. Shivum has also directed Abhay and Soha Ali Khan in the movie Ahista Ahista in 2006. Abhay has received a lot of appreciation for movies like Dev D and Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and is now possibly going to play amol palekar's role. Whereas Yami Gautam from the Vicky Donor fame will be seen playing the role of Tina Munim.

Aditya Bhatia even confirmed by saying, "Yes, we're doing a remake of Baaton Baaton Mein. The details are now being worked out." While admitting that Abhay Deol and Yami Gautam are the likely replacement actors in the remake Bhatia says, "We're still in the process of firming everything in."

Apparently many other Basu Chatterjee classics have been remade or are in the process of being remade. Sooraj Barjatya remade Basu Chatterjee's Chit Chor as Main Prem Ki Deewaani Hoon. Basuda's Shaukeen and Laakhon Ki Baat are also being remade.

Seeing how remakes usually turn out to be risky business with a 50-50 chance to impress the audience , lets hope this movie is able to keep up with todays expectations.
