The
reviews
of
recently
released
Grand
Masti
claimed
that
the
movie
is
filled
with
vulgarity
but
the
lead
actor
Aftab
Shivdasani
thinks
otherwise.
He
does
not
agree
with
reports
that
his
film
Grand
Masti
is
facing
flak
for
being
overtly
sexual
and
vulgar.
He
argues
that
the
adult
comedy
is
only
for
entertainment
and
should
not
be
taken
seriously.
"As
far
as
I
have
heard,
the
audience
is
liking
the
film
and
no
one
is
taking
offence.
It
is
not
at
all
offensive.
It
is
an
entertaining
film," said
Aftab.
"We
always
said
that
it
is
a
film
only
for
entertainment,
not
to
be
taken
seriously,"
he
added.
The
film
which
is
made
at
Rs.
35
crore
has
been
written
by
Milap
Zaveri
and
has
earned
brickbats
from
critics
for
innuendos
and
suggestive
double-meaning
dialogues.
However,
despite
criticism,
Grand
Masti,
a
sequel
to
the
2004-hit
Masti,
opened
to
a
bumper
response
at
the
box
office
and
generated
Rs.66.48
crore
within
the
first
week
of
its
release.
Meanwhile,
Aftab,
who
teamed
up
with
Vivek
Oberoi
and
Riteish
Deshmukh
in
the
film,
has
a
mixed
feeling
over
the
success
of
Grand
Masti.
"I
am
very
happy
because
I
did
not
expect
this
kind
of
success.
But
the
way
it
has
become
such
a
big
hit,
even
we
are
shocked.
We
did
not
expect
so
much.
The
film
is
still
in
theatres
and
I
hope
people
go
and
watch
it
and
it
becomes
a
bigger
hit,"
Aftab
said.
