Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who celebrated her big day yesterday, had a quiet birthday with family and close friends. She celebrated the occasion by donating cash for cancer patients.
Aishwarya said that she believes in doing social service. Aish, who came before media in beautiful red salwar suit on her big day, said that every year she helps cancer patients and this year also she did the same by donating some amount. She added that her parents have taught her to do something meaningful as it makes a difference to those people.
Aish addressed media on her birthday. She was quoted by PTI as saying, "Heartfelt thank you to everyone for the wishes. It's a good coincidence that my birthday comes with Diwali... It's a celebration time. I am thankful to God for this life... Thankful to my parents for this gift of life. It means a lot to me. I embrace everything that life gives me."
Aishwarya married Abhishek Bachchan in 2007. She said her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan means the world to her and is the best gift to her.
Born to a family with no showbiz connections, she appeared in style bible American Vogue. At the age of 17, she started modelling, and became Miss World.

When asked about if she got any special gift from Abhishek, she said this question has to be answered by Abhishek. But she added, the biggest gift he has given her is Aaradhya.

On the other hand, hubby Abhishek Bachchan thanked everyone for their wishes on behalf of his actress-wife Aishwarya Rai. He tweeted, "You guys are too sweet. Thank you all so much for your wishes for Aishwarya. Will get her to tweet you guys later."

Aishwarya was seen in Dhoom's second instalment Dhoom 2. She was paired opposite Hrithik Roshan and her role was well appreciated. Talking about the latest instalment, Aish said Dhoom 3 promo is looking fabulous and it's a franchise that all of us have enjoyed. She added that the movie will be fun and she is definitely looking forward to Dhoom 3, which features Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra in the lead roles.
Aishwarya Comeback Plans
When asked about her comeback plans, she was quoted by IANS as saying, "Films are not made overnight. The fate of the film is decided in two to three hours, but filmmaking takes time. I am looking forward, but things takes take time and for that, I would apologise to my fans."
Ash Thanks Parents For Her Looks
Aishwarya Rai thanked her parents for her good looks and said that it's in her genes. She added that more than looks what matters the most is who you are as a person.
