Akshay Kumar Was The First Choice For Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

With Farhan Akhtar racing ahead as legendary Milkha Singh, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag entered the 100 crore club and it looks like Akshay Kumar is feeling sad. Much before Farhan was roped in for the role of the athlete in the movie, the first choice of Rakesysh Omprakash Mehra was Akshay Kumar.

Things did not work out for Akshay Kumar to act in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag so he turned down the offer and therefore missed out on this golden opportunity. Luck was in favour for Farhan Akhtar. However, we cannot say luck is the only factor because this talented actor has put in a tremendous amount of hard work for this inspiring biopic.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which revolved around the life of Milkha Singh was praised and loved by all in India and now it is gone to the next level with the international release.

Although the athlete Milkha Singh reportedly wanted Akshay Kumar to portray his role on screen, he was later extremely impressed by Farhan's performance. After watching the movie of his own life, Milkha Singh even shed tears. "He is exactly how I wanted to see myself on screen. He has replicated me screen. He even resembles me," said the Flying Sikh.
