All the girls went gaga over John Abraham's body which he flaunted in Dostana but his recent act may disappoint many fans. The actor-producer John, who is known for his perfect body, had to shed weight for his forthcoming film Madras Cafe.
The intention of this wight loss was to make John look ordinary and like any other person in a crowd. "I had asked John to lose weight for this film and he did that. If he stands in a crowd he should not stand out, he should look like one of them as he is a not hero in the film. Heroism of the film is the content and not John," Shoojit Sircar, director of the film said.
Madras Cafe is a political-thriller and has been directed by Shoojit Sircar. The story deals with terrorism and civil war and was reportedly shot in Sri Lanka and India. The movie is slated for release on August 23. The audience has to wait till then to see this non-hero look of John. "You will see a new John in this film," Sircar said.
The director and producer of the film seems to bonding very well. They have made some plans for the future as well. "Now we are good friends, its a good relationship. We are planning for few more films together. We want to take this relationship ahead. He never interferes in my work and its vise versa. I don't know marketing so he takes care of it," the director added.
