Bollywood's heartthrob John Abraham turned producer with Vicky Donor, which was one of the most acclaimed movies of 2012. The actor, who is all set for his next Madras Cafe, slashed his fee for the movie. John says that since he is the producer of Madras Cafe he can reduce his fee to balance the budget.
John Abraham is playing the role of a RAW agent in Madras Cafe. The film is directed by Vicky Donor fame director Shoojit Sircar. Talking about his fee, John told a leading daily,"Well the clash between me as a producer and an actor was my fees. As a producer I cut my own fees as an actor. Madras Cafe's budget is just a fraction of all big films. I have to keep a check on budgets and that's the most important part."
John Abraham further added that he enjoys acting more than producing and he loves being an actor. The actor says that according to him no film is good or bad as every film is different.
Madras Cafe also stars Nargis Fakhri, who will be seen playing an international reporter in the film. Madras Cafe, which deals with the subject of terrorism, is all set to release on August 23.
