Kareena to design denim line called 'Bebo'

Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor is not just an actress but a fashion icon well-known for her style. Kareena who is lovingly called Bebo by the industry has reportedly been approached by an international brand to design a signature denim line under her nickname.

"Whenever Kareena gets associated with a fashion or health initiative, it always goes on to be very successful. Apart from that, she is always impeccably dressed and has an international appeal. These are the qualities that the brand is looking for," a source informed.

Kareena, who once hogged limelight for becoming a size zero, was approached by the brand as her appearances and presence impressed many. Kareena being the first Indian actress to launch her own clothing line and her collection made its debut several stores across India, and was well received.

She had launched her clothing line in association with a retail brand called Globus. After the end of her five-year contract with Globus, Bebo expressed a desire to work with a design house to release her clothing line internationally, but later explained that those plans were on hold.

Kareena forayed into the Hindi film industry in 2000 with the film Refugee. She endorses several brands, and is considered a trend setter of sorts in the industry.
