Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone can make football sexy, says Sunil Shetty

Panaji: Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty, who was present here at a national football conference, on Friday, said that if Indian football is to be made sexy, then it needs to get Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif to play the sport.

At the Goa International Football Table (GIFT), an international conference, Sunil was quoted by IANS, "If we are talking about making football sexy, we will have to talk to Deepika (Padukone) and Katrina."

The international conference was held in Goa, and Sunil Shetty was present there to promote football and infra-structure. He emphasised the importance of roping in celebrities to promote football in the country.

He also said, "Look at what David Beckham has done to American soccer. He has made a huge difference by his presence there."

Sunil said that young stars like Ranbir Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan were very interested in football. Football is a sport for youngsters and needs younger legs. He added, "I don't think I can play football."
