Will Katrina Kaif's Next Sequence Be In A Dargah?

By

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif expressed her desire to shoot a song sequence in a dargah. Katrina made an early morning trip to Sheikh Salim Chishti's dargah on July 18. The actress is a devotee of Sheikh Salim Chishti and often visits his dargah in Fatehpur. Salim Chishti was a Sufi saint during the Mughal empire.
"Katrina visited the dargah at 6 in the morning and tied the sacred red thread for a wish. It was Katrina's fifth trip to the dargah," said Arshad Faridi, son of the religious head in the dargah. Chishti's tomb is in the middle of the Emperor's Courtyard at Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh. Devotes believe that by offering prayers and following the ritual of tying a thread to the marble windows of this dargah, their wishes will be fulfilled.

Arshad said the actress visits the dargah often to pray for the success of her films. Katrina said that she would love to shoot a film sequence at the dargah and added that the authorities would gladly grant her permission for the same. The holy shrine has featured in films like Garm Hawa and Yateem.
Katrina Kaif is currently working on two films- Dhoom 3 and Bang Bang. Born to an Indian Muslim father and an English Christian mother, Kaif chooses to follow different religions. Katrina, a spiritual person, visits Sidhivinayak Temple, Mount Mary Church and Ajmer Sharif dargah before the release of her films.
