The actress is a devotee of Sheikh Salim Chishti and often visits his dargah in Fatehpur. Salim Chishti was a Sufi saint during the Mughal empire.
"Katrina visited the dargah at 6 in the morning and tied the sacred red thread for a wish. It was Katrina's fifth trip to the dargah," said Arshad Faridi, son of the religious head in the dargah. Chishti's tomb is in the middle of the Emperor's Courtyard at Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh. Devotes believe that by offering prayers and following the ritual of tying a thread to the marble windows of this dargah, their wishes will be fulfilled.
