reportedly
booked
by
the
police,
after
his
wife
Nandita
Puri
filed
a
complaint
against
him,
alleging
domestic
violence.
Reportedly,
Nandita
alleged
that
Puri
had
beaten
her
up
with
a
stick
and
also
threatened
her
last
week,
after
a
heated
up
argument
between
the
couple.
A
police
officer
reportedly
told
a
leading
daily
that
Om
Puri
and
his
wife
Nandita
fought
over
their
flat
maintenance,
following
which
Puri
hit
her
with
"a
wooden
stick
in
their
Versova
residence".
According
to
the
daily,
the
actor
has
been
booked
under
IPC
sections
324
(voluntarily
causing
hurt
by
dangerous
weapons
or
means),
506
(criminal
intimidation)
and
504
(intentional
insult
to
provoke
breach
of
the
peace).
Nandita
is
Om
Puri's
second
wife,
and
as
per
the
reports,
the
couple's
marriage
was
going
through
a
rough
phase.
It
was
reported
that
Puri
had
moved
out
of
his
flat,
after
he
reconciled
with
his
first
wife
Seema
Kapoor,
and
started
staying
with
her.
The
daily
further
claims
that
the
actor
and
Nandita
had
tried
their
best
to
save
the
marriage
for
the
sake
of
their
son
Ishaan.
The
police
further
informed
the
daily,
"Om
Puri
is
absconding
at
present.
We
will
arrest
him
as
soon
as
we
trace
him."
