Once Upon A Time In Mumbai sequel inspired by real-life incidents: Akshay Kumar

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar says although his upcoming gangster film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again is inspired by some real-life incidents, the story remains fictional.

"I am not playing a real-life character. There are some areas where we have taken some real incidents from different places and put them together and the rest of the story is fictional," Akshay told the PTI.

He said their film is a continuation from Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, the first part of the sequel to the superhit 2010 film which had starred Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi. "Only faces have changed. The story begins from where it had ended," said the 'Khiladi' of Bollywood.

Imran Khan, who also plays a gangster in the film, said some past events were modified and included in the story. "But it is not a historical film," he said. The film, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha as the love interest of two gangsters, will showcase the gang wars of the era of 80s. It is scheduled for release in August.
