The movie Chennai Express being the solo-festive-release this Eid, proves that no other B-Town actor or director wishes to compete with the 'Brand SRK Power'. But, the latest report has made us believe that even Pakistan is scared of the 'Brand Shahrukh Khan', that has pushed back the release of the much-awaited Pakistani film Main Hoon Shahid Afridi, due to Chennai Express.
As per the media reports, the makers of Main Hoon Shahid Afridi have decided to postpone their film's release, fearing clash with Shahrukh Khan's upcoming movie Chennai Express, which is all set to release in Pakistan on Eid after an import ban was overruled.
Main Hoon Shahid Afridi's writer told The Express Tribune that "the most anticipated Pakistani film this year is taking its time to hit the box office because of some last minute problems". The writer further admitted that the tough competition from the Indian film is a reason for the delay.
However, another hurdle for the film's release is due to the death of a renowned film editor Azam Khan during the fine-tuning of Main Hoon Shahid Afridi, due to which the team had to rush abroad to continue the post-production process.
On the other hand, Shahrukh Khan is a big name in Pakistan. In the past, we had witnessed the SRK fever when Ra.One got released and thousands of SRK fans thronged the cinema halls of Pakistan to get a taste of the superhero flick. We wish Shahrukh's Chennai Express manages to create the same magic again in Pak.
