Mumbai: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra's father Ashok Chopra passed away on Monday afternoon. He was suffering from cancer and was ill from a very long time. Ashok Chopra's cremation was held on Monday evening at Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai. The last rites of Ashok Chopra took place around 5.30 pm.
Many Bollywood celebrities paid their last visit to Priyanka Chopra's father, including Shahrukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Punit Malhotra, Anurag Basu, Ramesh Taurani, Parineeti Chopra, Karan Johar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Ranveer Singh and Arjan Bajwa.
Bollywood actors and Priyanka's good friends Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor reached Kokilaben Hospital immediately after getting the news of Ashok Chopra's death and were there to support Priyanka and her family when her father's body was taken to her residence.
Ashok Chopra, who was a doctor, was admitted to hospital 18 days ago as he was undergoing cancer treatment from 2008. He was at the last stage of the disease.
