Bollywood
actress
Priyanka
Chopra
recently
faced
a
lot
of
criticism
for
her
song
'Exotic',
as
many
believe
that
the
actress
tried
to
copy
Britney
Spears,
Jennifer
Lopez
and
Katy
Perry
in
the
album.
In
fact,
she
also
got
criticised
for
copying
the
dress
code
and
style
statement
of
the
International
popstars.
But
PC
is
not
amongst
those
celebs
who
would
stay
tight-lipped
and
tolerate
such
negative
comments.
Reportedly,
Priyanka
has
recently
hit
back
at
her
detractors,
who
have
slammed
the
former
for
being
a
so-called
copy
cat
in
the
album.
Talking
to
a
leading
daily,
Priyanka
Chopra
said
that
there's
no
point
in
being
judgemental
about
attires,
since
women
have
been
wearing
net
dresses
for
ages
now.
Slamming
her
detractors,
she
told
the
daily,
"When
somebody
wants
to
pull
you
down
and
talk
negative,
then
they
will
do
so
anyways."
She
further
said
that
singing
is
a
new
thing
to
her,
hence
she
tried
to
do
something
different.
"I
am
trying
to
expose
the
world
to
Bollywood
music
without
it
being
stereotypical.
They
say
that
an
India
song
is
bound
to
have
100
dancers
in
the
background.
We
have
done
it
differently
here.
I
wanted
India
and
I
to
go
mainstream.
If
that
is
an
effort
which
cannot
be
supported,
then
it's
fine," Priyanka
Chopra
added.
