Rajesh Khanna's Statue To Be Unveiled At Bandra Bandstand

Bollywood's first superstar Rajesh Khanna, who passed away on this day, July 18, 2012, will be honoured by the film fraternity on his first death anniversary. Reportedly, Khanna's statue will be installed at the Bandra bandstand alongside other prominent personalities like Yash Chopra, Dev Anand and Raj Kapoor.

As per the reports, the UTV Stars channel have recently announced that the late superstar Rajesh Khanna statue's will be unveiled at the Walk of the Stars at Bandra Bandstand Promenade. It was further said that the statue will be unveiled by the actor's family members and other big stars from the industry.

"UTV Stars will commemorate Rajesh Khanna's inimitable style and charismatic smile in a life-size brass statue. The brass statue will immortalise one of his iconic poses from his films and will be unveiled by the actor's family amongst well-known names from the industry," read a statement from the channel.
