Rumour has it that Prakash Jha's upcoming film Satyagraha is about Anna Hazare movement, but the director denies it. The director, who is known for his political dramas says that the movie is about a father and son relationship.

At the launch of the film's song 'Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram' on July 25, Prakash Jha clarified that the movie is not about any movement. "It's not a story of Mahatma Gandhi, Anna Hazare or Nirbhaya case but it has the essence. The film is not inspired by any movement. Middle class people across the world protest if they are in a democracy. The film is not about Anna Hazare. There is no reflection of his protest. But the essence is with Nirbhaya case, Mahatma Gandhi and Anna Hazare," Jha confirmed.

The plot revolves around a father-son relationship. "The story is about a father and son who are poles apart. I am not here to create a social jihad," said Jha.

At the launch, Jha spoke about the song and explained the changes they have made in it. He said, "We all love this song. We have not changed it, we have only added a few words and not made too many changes in the song. This song showcases the aggression of today's youth."

Kareena Kapoor plays the role of a journalist in Satyagraha. Speaking about her character in the film she said, "My character is not inspired by any journalist. She is totally involved in her work. She is a woman with dignity and power and this character has been written by Prakash Jha and not inspired by anyone."

Satyagraha, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpai and Amrita Rao in the leads, is set to release on August 30 this year. Jha feels that this movie will entertain the audience but clarifies that it is not an attempt to provide a solution.
